Description
The Claude Code dashboard, alerts and recording rules are built on claude_code_* native metrics, which Codex and pi do not emit. The built-in Coding agents view covers sessions, cost, tokens and tools by agent and user, so it is the first-cut surface. Codex has native OTel worth panels (TTFT, API latency, hook runs); pi has only plugin metrics.
Acceptance Criteria
- #1 The demo runbook shows Claude Code, Codex and pi side by side in the Coding agents view, verified on live data
- #2 A decision is recorded on per-agent dashboards; any dashboard added is registered in terraform/locals.tf and uses no claude_code_* series
- #3 Claude-only alerts and recording rules are left as they are and documented as Claude-only, or given non-Claude counterparts where the data exists
Definition of Done
- #1 just check
Implementation Plan
Use the built-in Coding agents view for the first rollout, avoiding optional dashboards until native telemetry is observed. Preserve existing Claude-only dashboards/alerts and document their scope. Verify all deployed agents live after bounded sessions.
Implementation Notes
2026-10-15 maintainer chose API checks for this session and explicitly left visual Coding agents verification pending because no browser is connected. Do not check the browser/live-view criterion based on API results. No optional custom dashboards in this first rollout; existing Claude-only alert and recording series preserved.
Built-in Coding agents view chosen; no new custom dashboards. Existing Claude-only native dashboards/alerts/recordings preserved and documented. API generation and native metric evidence is present; visual side-by-side verification remains deferred by maintainer.
Resume with a connected browser and final deployed-host data. Maintainer explicitly chose API-only verification this session; criterion 1 remains unchecked.
The subsequent user request explicitly supersedes the earlier no-custom-dashboards decision. AIO-0008 (add multi-agent dashboards and remove duplication) owns dedicated Codex/pi and combined dashboards, live queries and rendered snapshots. The built-in Coding agents page visual verification remains distinct.
